NSW WHS Legal Framework
Work health safety in NSW is governed by the WHS legal framework, which includes the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW), the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017 (NSW), and SafeWork NSW Codes of Practice. Under this framework, a PCBU (Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking) must ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers and others through effective risk assessment practices.
